    Our Father, forgive our sins. Forgive the sins that we remember, and the sins we have forgotten. Forgive our many failures in the face of temptation, and those times when we have been stubborn in the face of correction. Forgive the times we have been proud of our own achievements and those when we have failed to boast in your works. Forgive the harsh judgments we have made of others, and the leniency we have shown to ourselves. Forgive the lies we have told to others, and the truths we have avoided. Forgive us the pain we have caused others and the indulgence we have shown ourselves. Lord God, have mercy on us and make us whole. In Jesus Christ, our Savior’s name, Amen.

  1. LIFE GROUPS
    FOL life groups begin the week of October 12. Life Groups are a time to gather for fellowship, scripture study, and prayer on a weekly basis, and we encourage you to sign up for and join in the coming weeks. To sign up and join, you can use click HERE to fill out the accompanying form and be connected with a life group leader. Click HERE to view a flyer that includes life group days, times, and leader contact information. Please be sure to sign up for a life group soon so leaders and hosts can plan accordingly.

  2. THE WELL - WINE AND CHEESE NIGHT
    Ladies! Join us on Friday October 17th at 7pm for a wine and cheese night at Gaby's house. Bring your favorite cheese, charcuterie item, or drinks to share. Hope to see you there! Click HERE to view the flyer.

  3. COUPLE’S SEMINAR
    On October 25th, licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Samantha Morey, will be with us to share about Attachment Styles and Communication and Relational Resilience in the context of marriage relationships. The seminar will help us identify "How We Love" in our marriages and partnerships and the roadblocks that occur to our ability to love well. To prepare and receive insight in advance she recommends that you might choose to participate in this QUIZ which will provide you with a preliminary self-assessment! Please invite neighbors, co-workers, family, friends. All are welcome! There will be a continental breakfast served at 8:30am. The seminar will be held at Grace Long Beach, childcare will be provided and is FREE OF CHARGE! You may register HERE by October 22. Please find the seminar flyer HERE.

  4. PRAYER AND WORSHIP SERVICE
    Please join us for our Prayer and Worship service which will now be on Sunday, October 19 at 10am, instead of Saturday, October 18 as originally announced. We hope for this time to pray and worship the Lord together. HERE is the service flyer.

  5. 2025 BIKING FOR CONGO CHALLENGE
    We have a great opportunity to join in the global work of ECC in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Did you know that some people in DR Congo travel over 50 kilometers (31 miles) on a bicycle to a hospital, while sick or injured? And what's even harder to believe is that when they arrive at the hospital, limited medicines, clean water, and medical training often prevent a person from getting better.
    FOL is invited to participate in the 2025 Biking for Congo Challenge which will support ECC’s UCare4Congo work to provide holistic healthcare. Based upon the vision of Dr. Paul Carlson (a medical missionary with the ECC who was killed while serving in the DR Congo) and the vision of the Covenant Church of Congo medical leaders today, UCare4Congo supports the entire Covenant Church of Congo medical system, which includes training medical professionals, providing medicines and supplies, improving infrastructure and clean water sources, and supporting quality patient care. If you would like to support this important work, please join the FOL Biking team by clicking HERE. You may choose to create your own team, bike to raise support, or simply donate.
