  • CALL TO WORSHIP (Psalm 92:1-4)

  • SONG OF ADORATION

  • PRAYER OF CONFESSION:
Our Father who is in heaven, If you should mark iniquities, who could stand? We know that if we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. Not one of us does good, no, not one. We have stiffened our necks against your will, hardened our hearts to your Word, refused to hear your voice, pulled away from your loving embrace, despised correction, and forgotten you in our thoughts. We have sinned against you. Father, we repent. We come to Christ, who has promised rest for our souls. We take his yoke upon us. We desire to learn from him. Grant that we may bring forth the fruits of repentance from sincere hearts, which are precious in your sight. In Jesus' Name we pray. AMEN.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. ST. PATRICK’S DAY
Men of FoL, a final reminder that there will be a St. Patrick's Day lunch on March 22nd, at 1130am. Food, lawn games, fellowship, and more! Invite friends, coworkers, or anyone who could use a good meal around men of the church. We know there's a Mom's Connect event at night, so make sure you check in with significant others as needed! RSVP to Patrick Flanagan on Slack or at (562) 229-4535.

  2. SPIRITUAL DIRECTION GROUPS
Are you wondering how God is working in your life? Or perhaps you’re experiencing a sense of “desert dryness” in your relationship with Jesus. What might the Lord be prompting for you? Understanding that God is active in every facet of our lives, Spiritual Direction is a companion relationship between two people in which one listens to the other, and to the Holy Spirit, as the other seeks to discover how God is present and active in their life.
Group Spiritual Direction maintains the same sense of listening to others and the Holy Spirit as one person shares with the group (often answering a question or prompt posed to the group). The others in the group respond to the person as the Lord brings images, or a word, or scripture to mind, speaking into what the person shared. This provides a Christ-centered community, aiding each person involved in honing their listening skills with “spiritual ears,” while also giving one a “taste” of what spiritual direction in a one-on-one setting may be like.
We will be offering opportunities for you to engage in group direction during the Lenten Season as a means of growing in your relationship with Jesus and with one another, as we journey together through the “wilderness” of Lent. You may sign up HERE. Dates and Times are listed on the sign up sheet.
For more information, please contact Dan Palomino on Slack or by email (dancpal@gmail.com).

  3. PASTORAL PRAYER
Pastor Kim would love to be able to pray for you. If you have any prayer concerns please let her know by entering your request on this form. You do not need to share your identity - it can be completely confidential if this is your preference. One the primary roles of your pastor, or of any spiritual leader, is to carry you on their heart and to therefore carry you into the presence of God as they pray for you.
