You can write your prayer down on a prayer card and place it in the box beside the prayer table. Pastor Kim and the staff will be happy to pray for your requests throughout the week. You will notice that the candles are in either a blue or a red container. The red is to remind us that we have access into the presence of God because of the blood of Christ. You are invited at any time in our service to come forward and light a candle. As the wick of the candle burns and the smoke goes up to the heavens - this is a symbolic representation of your prayer ascending to the heavens, into the very throne room of God. The blue is to remind us that we are united with Christ through baptism of water - and Jesus loves to hear our prayers.

TITHES AND OFFERINGS
You may give online HERE or place your offering in the wooden box to the right of the stage.

Need Pastoral Care?
Contact Pastor Kim: kim@folcov.org

We have neglected your commands when it is inconvenient for us to keep them. We have ignored your laws when it causes us to lose our ease. We have disregarded our neighbors' needs, and wondered aloud why other people do not meet our needs. O Father, have mercy on us! Forgive us of our many debts! Lent is a season of intentional reflection and spiritual renewal for the Christian church, inviting believers to unite in repentance, prayer, and preparation for the celebration of Easter. It centers on themes of humility, self-denial, faithful fasting, and a renewed commitment to follow Christ amid suffering and sacrifice. Through Scripture, fasting, alms giving, and penitence, Lent fosters deeper discipleship, repentance from sin, and anticipation of God’s grace revealed in the crucifixion and resurrection.

We have prepared a daily reflection for each day of Lent, including Sundays. It is our hope and prayer that these can become a meaningful part of your daily journey through Lent.

This year our Daily Lent Reflections publication features drawings by children associated with our Crosswalk ministry, and is available in Spanish.
If you prefer listening to reading - there will also be a daily Audio File of these reflections in English available on Slack as of Ash Wednesday - 02/18.

Peace of Christ to you - as you journey through this Lenten season.

- Pastor Kim

English Google Doc version HERE
English PDF version HERE
Spanish Google Doc version HERE
Spanish PDF version HERE
