Connie Loggins

Connie Durr-Loggins is a proud Westside Long Beach native and dedicated community advocate whose Christian faith guides her commitment to service, justice, and empowerment. Before retiring from the Long Beach Unified School District, she dedicated her career to serving students and families as a high school counselor and college and career advisor. Working with families from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds gave Connie a deep understanding of the challenges, opportunities, and systemic barriers affecting students and communities throughout Long Beach.

Outside of her professional and community commitments, Connie enjoys spending time with family, traveling, playing pickleball, and reading. She especially enjoys relaxing by a cozy fireplace while listening to a good audiobook.

A Scripture that is especially meaningful to Connie in this season of life is Proverbs 31:8–9, which calls us to “speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves” and to defend the rights of the poor and needy. This passage reflects Connie’s lifelong commitment to faith, compassion, advocacy, and service to others.
