Pastor Tim Culling
Tim grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, and moved to San Dimas in 1992 where he met his future wife, Julie, at LIFE Bible College. They’ve been married for 31 years and are the proud parents of 23-year-old twins, Micah and Mikayla.
In his free time, you’ll find Tim taking a drive, walking the dog, or enjoying a meal at a local restaurant with his wife or friends. But most of the time you’ll find him in one of the many amazing Long Beach coffee shops. Coffee is Tim’s love language and, it would seem, he’s constantly working on that relationship!
Primary Responsibilities at FOL
I give direction to the worship service and preach ¾ time. I lead the staff team and serve as part of the Leadership Team during our transition to the next Lead Pastor of the church by providing stability, clarity, and care.

What's your ideal day?
Wake up around 8am to the smell of coffee. Slow roll into the day. I'd be on vacation somewhere tropical with Julie and the kids would be joining us later in the week. Breakfast at some local hole in the wall with the best omelets and hash browns we've ever had. The afternoon would include a bike ride (with a warm breeze) maybe a pool, definitely a nap. Walking near the ocean until we happen upon another local hole in the wall for an early dinner. Lazy evening, watching a movie or a favorite show we've been watching long enough to get hooked on. Sleep by 9:30.
Favorite Restaurant in Long Beach
Long Beach Thai
Last meal on Earth?
Curry noodle soup (skinny noodle) with chicken and extra toasted tofu.
It's from Long Beach Thai.
Place you'd love to visit again?
Prague
What makes you laugh?
The Office - every episode
What brings you to tears?
When I see people hurting, especially those closest to me
What do you like most about serving at FOL?
Getting to know the people and working with the staff and Leadership Team. Also, doing pastor things that I haven't done for a little while.
Something no one would ever guess about you?
I used to be able to do a standing back flip and a round off with a bunch of back handsprings.
