Administrative Support Position - Bulletin

Purpose of Position

The primary purpose of this position is to help provide support to the Lead Pastor and the ministries for which she has direct supervisorial responsibility.

Reports to:
Lead Pastor

Supports Lead Pastor’s work with:
Community of Preaching Practice, Crosswalk, Family Center Renewal, IT communications, Leader Formation, Life Groups, Men’s Ministry, Mom’s Connect, Practicing the Way Groups, Prayer Walk, Sunday Set-Up, and Worship Service.

Salary & Hours

Hourly Rate: $25.00
Hours: 20 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

  1. Administrative Support
    • Manage expense reporting, calendars, announcements
    • Curate and maintain Pastor Kim’s G-drive folders and files
    • Support events: registration, communication, resources, set-up
    • Assist with all communications (emails, texts, Slack interface)
    • Become proficient with FOL app, spotify lists, audio files
    • Help with Communion
  2. Areas of Responsibility
    • Support staff meetings with materials, resources and communications,
    • Note taking at staff meetings and task allocation follow-through
    • Update Prayer Walk location and map weekly
    • Support retreats with communications, bookings, insurance, registration and resource allocation
    • Update weekly announcements and order of worship to FOL app
    • Recruit Sunday hosts, update host description
    • Create Sunday hard copy hand-outs of order of worship and announcements
    • Maintain and update spreadsheet of all roles on Sunday - recruiting, posting, reminding, resourcing
    • Track and update preaching schedule
    • Track and manage Pastor Kim’s calendar, email, and expense reports
    • Track and update Church Calendar
    • Support and update Slack communications including general announcements, audio files, financial reports and inquiries
    • Support membership and baptism training with registration, communication and resources
    • Manage pastoral prayer requests - assigning and ensuring completion
    • Update member lists
    • Administrate Practicing the Way groups, calendars, check-ins
    • Liaise with Hospitality to provide supplies such as communication cards, etc
    • Other tasks as needed

Successful Candidate will Demonstrate

  3. Exceptional relational skills
  4. Detail-oriented
  5. High level of experience with Google workspace suite of applications, moderate level of experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat applications, the ability to learn ministry-specific programs or willingness to become proficient in all of the above.
  6. Ability to balance multiple tasks and responsibilities

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Graduate
  • Member of Fountain of Life Covenant Church or willing to become a member

Desirable Qualifications

  • College Graduate
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish)
  • Previous experience supporting executive leadership of an organization.
