Youth Group

Vision: Each young man and woman would be transformed by the Gospel and have an active living faith.

The FOL Youth Group leaders want each youth, no matter whether they were an unbeliever or grew up in the church, to move from believing in God to living for Him.

Beginning in the summer after fifth grade and continuing through the high school, youth have the opportunity to study the Bible, deepen as disciples, learn to serve, grow in sharing their faith with friends, and, of course, have a lot of fun in the process.

Values

  • Inner Life Growth – We are committed to helping our youth learn to live by the Spirit, go deep in the Word, and have an active growing prayer life.
  • Fellowship – We are committed to walking with our youth and encouraging them to learn to follow Jesus together. We want our youth to learn to love each other, pray for each other and help keep each other accountable.
  • Fun – In Matthew 19:14, Jesus says, “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them.” The youth wanted to be around Jesus! I think He was way more fun than we think or know. We are committed to creating a fun, welcoming environment for our youth to experience Jesus.
  • Service – Mark 9:35: “If anyone would be first, he must be last of all and servant of all.” We are committed to creating opportunities for our youth to be able to serve and gain ministry experience.
  • Evangelism – 1 John 4:15 states, “whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in them, and they in God.” We want each of our youth to be equipped to reach the lost. Evangelism is a key part of discipleship.
