Anniversary Celebration 2024
On March 3, 2024, FOL celebrated 17 years of God's faithfulness. To mark the occasion, we had a wonderful service filled with testimonies of God's work in our midst, including a video testimony with some of the FOL's original members. (Click the video above to watch it.) Pastor Kimberley Morrison invited all of FOL to participate by sending in three things: a word from the Lord for FOL, a note of thanks for this past year, and a prayer for our future with God.
A Word from the Lord for FOL
“May God continue to Bless the work and congregation at Fountain of Life!”
Superintendent Bryan Murphy
Surrender all to me and watch me work in ways you could not have imagined.
God is the pillar that holds our lives!
You are my dearly beloved. Seek me in joy and I will make known who you are to be.
The Lord is Creator and Re-Creator. “I make all things new. I am making you, FOL, into a new creation.”
“O, God, we have heard with our ears, our fathers have told us, what deeds you performed in their days,
in the days of old: you, with your own hand, drove out the nations, but them you planted;
you afflicted the peoples, but them you set free; for not buy their own sword did they win the land,
nor did their own arm, save them, but your right hand, and your arm,
and the light of your face, for you delighted in them.” Psalm 44
“But there is a difference between curing and healing,
and I believe the church is called to do the slow and difficult work of healing.
We are called to enter into one another’s pain, anoint it as holy,
and stick around no matter what.” -Rachel Held Evans
The word last year was faithfulness. The word came with an image of the Lord saying
he would fill every seat in the auditorium in Stephen’s middle school.
It wasn’t about numbers but about his kingdom breaking through in new ways in West Long Beach.
“I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore, I have continued my faithfulness to you.” Jeremiah 31:3

A Prayer for Our Future With God
Heavenly Father, this is your church and community,
we want your will to be our will in every decision, plan and ministry.
May we experience the grace of finding abundance serving
in the Good Kingdom with Jesus and all his friends at FOL.
May it be true in FOL that God’s tender mercies and loving kindness continue to cover us.
Lord I ask that you would enable us to live us ones fully given to your Kingdom and to your ways.
Thank you, Jesus, for all you have done! You are SO GOOD!
Thank you for doing a new work in us!
Please strengthen and encourage us, Lord, as we move forward. Amen.
God give us eyes to see your Kingdom coming in West Long Beach
that we might humbly enter your work with hope and joy.
I’m praying that each of us can sit and see the light of his face.
That we can “Behold the One, beholding us and smiling.”
And that as we absorb His light, he would light the darkness all around us.
" May we be lovers of God’s word so that it will “revive the soul, make wise the simple,
give joy to the heart and give light to the eyes.” Psalm 19: 7-8
God, let your will be done in FOL and West Long Beach. Make us aware of where your kingdom
is breaking through all around us and lead us in all our decisions.
Lord, we offer you our church and our lives. May we walk in the Spirit,
love the lost and least, and rejoice in you!
Heavenly Father, lead us in your plans and purposes for FOL.
Jesus, may we walk in your way, may we trust you and
would you always be Lord of our church, our lives and our city!
