Connie Loggins
Connie Loggins serves as FOL's Westside community liaison. In this capacity, she leads efforts to bring resources to our West Long Beach community. She is a Westside native of Long Beach, California, who was born into and reared in a loving Christian family. Connie formally accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior while in college.
Working as a high school counselor and career, college consultant, Connie's professional career experience has been very extensive. Her caseloads consisted of students from the most affluent economic populations of Long Beach to the most impoverished economic populations of Long Beach. She is an advocate for justice and has a tender heart for the disenfranchised which God calls, “the least of these,” (Matthew 25:40).
Her heart and mission are to foster evangelism, community development, empowerment, as well as cultivate a bridge of service between youth and seniors.
Connie's faith in God is the foundation of her service to others. In addition to maintaining a healthy spirit, she understands the importance of staying mentally and physically healthy. Connie loves spending time with family, traveling, playing pickleball and tennis, and listening to good audio books while curled up in front of a cozy fireplace.
During this season of her life, a scripture that is near and dear to Connie is, “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.” (Proverbs 31:8-9)
