Tim Sato
Tim Sato serves as FOL's minister of care. In this capacity he coordinates a team that identifies and addresses congregational needs, cares for facilities, external communications, and a weekly community food pantry.
Tim, Caroline, and their family have lived in Long Beach for more than 20 years. Before moving to Long Beach, they lived in South Los Angeles, where they were part of a neighborhood ministry that became Church of the Redeemer Covenant Church. His family has been deeply influenced by heroes like John Perkins and Jeremiah, the prophet who communicated God’s message to “Seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf; for in its welfare you will have welfare.” (Jeremiah 29:7)
In his spare time, Tim enjoys watching sports, reading, and cooking. Someday he will learn to speak Spanish like the rest of his family.
